Landfill Gas Assessment
Landfill gas, mainly methane and carbon dioxide, is generated by the decomposition of organic material in landfills. At certain concentrations, these landfill gases can represent an explosive risk or act as an asphyxiant by displacing oxygen.
A landfill gas risk assessment may be required to investigate the potential risks to site users or residents within a designated distance from an operational or former landfill site. Jet Environmental’s consultants are experienced in performing a wide range of landfill gas risk assessments which can typically be completed during normal site operations with minimal disruptions to the daily site activities.
